Good Evening Van Buren Families, Sorry to text so late but wanted to inform our elementary families about a potential issue for tomorrow. The elementary school heat is not working. A part to fix the unit had to be ordered from Buffalo, NY and will arrive tomorrow afternoon. Currently, the first floor classroom temperatures are in the high 60's and the second floor classroom temperatures are in the low 70's. The forecast has temperatures to drop in the 30's tonight and this could mean the elementary will be closed due to no heat. We will check the classroom temperatures and have a decision on school for the elementary by six am. I thought it was important that families have a heads up that this might happen tonight. I will be in touch early tomorrow.

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library bookmobile will be at Van Buren in the front parking lot from 12:30-1:00 P.M. this Thursday, April 15.  Any students with a FHCPL card can place a hold on a book on the library's website, indicate that it will be picked up from the bookmobile, and then pick the book up this Thursday.  Students who have a card who have not placed a hold on a book can still stop by the bookmobile, browse through the books, and check out a book as they are leaving school for the day.  If students have books they need to return to the county library, they can also drop those off at the bookmobile.
