The Van Buren Local School District Board of Education met on Tuesday, January 13, for its organizational meeting with the regular monthly meeting immediately following. Laura Ebright is continuing as president this year and will again be joined by Lauren Logan as vice president. Jamie Cunningham, Erica Kelley, and Michael Leifheit make up the remainder of the board. We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize our board as January is School Board Recognition Month. Our students and community benefit every day from the leadership and vision our school board provides, so if you see one of our board members at any time of the year, please take a minute to share your appreciation for the time and effort they devote to making our school district successful.
Finally, we would like to recognize exiting board members Andy Fisher, who became a board member in 2021, and Melinda Williams, who became a board member in 2019, for their years of service to our district. We appreciate the leadership they provided.
