Congratulations to MS/HS Health Teacher Mrs. Bethany Archer for applying for and receiving a $250 Teacher Appreciation Grant from Hancock Federal Credit Union.
She will be using the money to buy adult and infant artificial manual breathing unit (AMBU) bags used during her CPR unit that helps students meet graduation requirements and have the opportunity to become CPR and AED certified.
The items purchased with this grant money will supplement the $1,000 grant Archer applied for and received from the Van Buren Schools Education Foundation earlier this year (read the Knight Insight titled “VBSEF Grants: Investing in Our Educators and Students” to learn more).
We appreciate Mrs. Archer for making the effort to apply for this grant so she can provide this learning opportunity to our students, and we appreciate Hancock Federal Credit Union for offering this grant opportunity to our teachers!
