Sattler Wins Inaugural Amazing Shake Competition

This morning, our top three middle school finalists in The Amazing Shake competition met with members of the Findlay Morning Rotary to share their personal experiences and insights on leadership. After a final round of judging, Rikki Sattler was named the champion, Camila Ortega finished in second place, and Tommy Heintzelman finished in third place.

The students who finished in first, second, and third in The Amazing Shake competition.

Sattler not only walked away with the inaugural trophy, but she also snagged the grand prize: Culver’s for a year! She said, “It was a lot of fun, and we all worked hard to win. I just had to be myself and put my mind to it, and it worked.”

She is also looking forward to eating at Culver’s over the next year: “I’m going to use my prize on a lot of frozen custard and concrete mixers.”

This competition wouldn't have been possible without the support of our community and staff. We’d like to extend a special thanks to Middle School Principal Mrs. Jenn Barrett and all of our dedicated middle school teachers, our judges across all four rounds for their time and expertise, Findlay Morning Rotary for hosting our finalists today, and Culver's for providing such an incredible grand prize.

Barrett said, “I am so proud of the students and their willingness to take on these challenges. Because of this experience, they are going to have confidence in their abilities and the opportunity to feel comfortable having conversations with people when they meet them.”

This was truly an “amazing” opportunity for everyone involved. Congratulations and thank you to all our participants for showing us how true leadership looks.
