Dear Student and Parents: August 27, 2020

I hope you have found the answers to your questions regarding our reopening plans and are growing comfortable as the start of the year approaches. Reminder, all documents and resources can be found on our website (www.vbschools.net), including FAQ’s for the community. 

As mentioned, we will be operating on a block schedule for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year. The first-semester, students will be enrolled in their “odd period” classes (1,3,5,7). The “even period” classes will take place starting Monday, January 25th.

 

Enclosed you will find an updated student schedule. Please note the following key items: 

  • Students must be enrolled in and successfully pass a minimum of 3 courses (excluding Physical Education) each semester. 

  • Questions or schedule changes needed can be directed to Mr. Zender (mzender@vbschools.net

  • Schedule changes should occur by  Friday, September 4th 

  • Student Release - the Student Release Agreement Form (Attached - Yellow) must be on file for students to be excused from attendance between 8:00 am and 12:45 pm for any of the following reasons:

    • Students may request excusal from a scheduled study hall at the start or end of school day

    • CCP Students may be released/excused from VBHS for the purposes of a CCP course

  • Millstream - students utilizing private transportation to/from Millstream

Student Registration (OneView)

  • Please make sure all students are registered on OneView by Aug. 31st - Info on website, under “Explore”, “For Parents” tab. 

Immunizations 

  • We need proof of seniors 12th Grade Meningitis immunization.

  • Please contact the Hancock County Public Health Dept. or your family physician.
